Tasks / Duties

Accomplish the following primary responsibilities relative to the designated area (A-M-P):

  • Support the product development process by assisting the program teams as necessary to ensure successful product launches
  • Support part design review process with program teams
  • Apply statistics and data to make decisions
  • Supports in FMEA, APQP and Control Plan creation and review process
  • Leads or participates in 8D problem-solving activities (internal/external)
  • Completes qualifications, trials and experiments on new production and prototype
  • Provide daily support to production teams for technical issues that arise
  • Perform DOE’s and follows control plans / procedures
  • Identify trends in quality performance, executes root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans
  • Initiate process improvement projects using data-driven and statistically designed experiments to enhance quality, reduce cost, enhance safety, and increase earnings
  • Create and maintain all documents used to control the manufacturing process
  • Provide training and consultation on process issues
  • Ensures a safe and clean working environment
  • Ensures 100% conformance to IMS Quality System in production operations
  • Other duties as needed / assigned
  • On call when required

Primary Duties (A)

  • Aid in the process design of automation as needed
  • Improve standards for Automation to promote problem free designs and operation
  • Develops Software in industrial automation control software
  • Develops and releases processes for Automation to manufacturing.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs Automation equipment and processes
  • Monitoring and verification POKE YOKE systems to assure part conformance to specification
  • Assists in the development and maintains “Red Rabbits”

Primary Duties (M)

  • Establish machining process and workflow for each component / machine combination
  • Improve standards to promote problem free designs and operation
  • Develops and releases processes for new raw materials to manufacturing.
  • Operates and troubleshoots metal manufacturing equipment, processes and materials
  • Process monitoring and verification of part conformance to specification

Primary Duties (P)

  • Aid in the design of tooling as needed
  • Establish injection molding process for each tool / press combination
  • Improve standards for tooling with individual toolmakers to promote problem free designs and operation
  • Develops and releases processes for new raw materials to manufacturing.
  • Operates and troubleshoots injection molding presses, processes, materials and mold issues
  • Injection Molding process monitoring and verification of part conformance to specification

Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years relevant work experience
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Technical writing skills
  • CAD experience preferred
  • Language skills: ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to work in metric and inch
  • Familiar with required measuring equipment
  • Thorough statistics knowledge
  • Robot programming skills are a plus
